Session Format

Each session comprises three phases: In the first phase, we ensure that you have the chance to be heard and express your thoughts thoroughly. Moving on to the second phase, Jorge assists you in gaining insight, identifying themes, and fostering a deeper understanding of your concerns. The final phase, planning, involves collaboratively developing an actionable plan to address and navigate through your specific concerns.

Conceptualization

I adhere to the gold standard theoretical framework in our field, which is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Through this approach, we aim to cultivate a profound understanding of your cognitions (thoughts), emotions, and behaviors, examining the intricate interactions among these elements to facilitate comprehensive insights into your mental and emotional well-being. This thorough exploration forms the basis for tailored interventions designed to promote positive and lasting changes in your cognitive and emotional processes.

Expectations

Research indicates that individuals often derive benefits from counseling as early as the initial session. The most significant changes typically manifest around sessions 7 or 8, with the effectiveness of counseling gradually diminishing after session 12.

Time

Research indicates that mental capabilities peak between 9 am and 12 noon. By scheduling sessions during this timeframe, both you and I can ensure that we operate at our optimal levels, fostering a more effective and productive counseling experience.
